Mine is Aiden, I think I seriously know About 30 of them! under the age of 10!! LOL Whats one you hear ALL the time?

So whats a baby name that you Hear a MILLION times it seems?
Oh gosh same here but for me its Jayden lol! I think all those Aden names are taking over and its SO annoying. For girls i hear tons and tons of Madisons its pretty annoying...
Reply:I agree with you about Aiden. I tried to talk my friend out of naming her son Aiden.....didn't work. Then she named her daughter Abigail, another name that is extremely popular in our area. I know about 6 girls named Hannah, 7 and younger, 1 being my neice. But the name I really cannot stand to hear that is very popular around my area is Mariah, and I also have a niece named that. Ugh.....lol.
Reply:I chose Aiden and Noah for our boys names. At the time, I didn't know ANY other kids with the name. Now, I type them into babynames.com and they're in the top three most popular. I thought I WAS being original - I have ALWAYS liked the name because it's celtic, it didn't have any actors or stars linked to it... I guess that's the way the ball bounces! I know about 20 Hanna's or Hannah's though. That name is everywhere in Canada - It actually means Grace, and it's top 12 in the girl names for 2008. Weird how everybody ends up on the same train, eh?!
Reply:When I clicked on this question to answer I was going to say Aiden. Haha, but I learned last year when I took a parenting course that that name and variations of it, such as Hayden, is the most popular name right now.
Reply:Aiden, Brayden, Jayden, Kaylee, Kyleigh, Luke, Madeleine, Madison, Mckenzie, Breanna, Paige, Gabriella, Isabelle, Isabella, Riley, Connor, Jaycie, Mia
Reply:I agree with you! Aiden is becomming very common... Aiden Wyatt. I know about 7 kids named Aiden Wyatt. they are all about the same age... Kaitlyn too. Kaitlyn is pretty popular...

gosh its a cute name but can't people be more original?!
Reply:I live in Australia, and over here my name is really common; Jessica.

Let me count how many Jessica's I know that are MY AGE (nearly 17) not including myself:

jeez.
Reply:I am actually the opposite of you. I know of only one Aiden, and know tons of Hannahs!!

For me, I hear Sarah and Michael and Matthew ALL the time!
Reply:I also hear Aiden alot. I know so many Ashleys and Matthews! It gets so annoying when you have three Matthews In the same room at the same time.

Hanna Is a Great name!

That's my cousin's name and I also know two Hannahs.

God Bless~

Reply:I'm in Australia, there are sooo many birth notices in the paper for Jayden, Emily, Cooper and Ella at the moment, and a few have been called Nevaeh as well.

Marissa M-she transferred from a christian school and so far, she's ok.
Reply:I live in Aus and I know A LOT of Emily's and Jessica's. I don't really know what the most common boy name is, but it would probably be Jackson, Matthew or William.

Reply:Jaiden/Jaylen (all kinds of spellings) im kinda over that name, i thought it was really cute at first, but now everyone has that name!
Reply:Isabelle/Isabella

I know I will get the thumbs down but I really dislike the name and now it is everywhere.
Reply:There seems to be a run on Hannah, Madison, Paige, Kayley, and Sophia/Sophie in this area. My daughter has 20 kids in her class (herself included). Of those 20, 9 are girls. Two of those girls are named Hannah, 2 are named Madison. Got the Valentine's classroom list today.

Also, I know a few girls named Presley, but that's probably just a regional thing here in TN. LOL!

What do you think about the name Santiago Ivan for a baby name?

My husband is from Mexico and we are having a hard time agreeing on a baby name for our son. I like Santiago, but am kind of unsure. HELP!!! Any suggestions?

What do you think about the name Santiago Ivan for a baby name?
I think that would be a nice name.
Reply:I really like the name Ivan and Santiago is a good spanish name but I don't think they sound good together. Ivan is the Russian equivalent of John, so How about.

Santiago Juan or Santiago John?
Reply:I like Santiago. Are you going to pronounce Ivan the English way (EYE-van) or the Spanish way (ee-VAHN)? I prefer the Spanish pronunciation. The English way just makes me think of "Ivan the Terrible"
Reply:I like that. Very unusual!
Reply:It sounds like a detective...I'm not really into it.

Reply:I hope you don't name your baby that.
Reply:I think she will be called ERIEdessa in school. Thats the first thing that came to mind. Good luck finding a name, I know, its so HARD!!
Reply:Not the kinda name a grown woman who's not in the adult industry or in a fantasy book should have.

It may sound cute on a baby..but it will grow annoying really fast..
Reply:minus the star and i think its a verry pretty name
Reply:Are you serious? Its an awful name. Please don't ever consider it when you decide to have children.

What do you think of this baby name?

Scarlett Phoenix Rae?

I had a little trouble at the start of my pregnancy and was expected to miscarry, fortunately my baby hung on in there and rose like a phoenix from the ashes!

My fiancé and i think it's lovely :) just wanted to know what others thought.

What do you think of this baby name?
only americans would call their kids something like that, you`re not american are you?
Reply:Each is very nice but since a Phoenix is a real thing popularized by Harry Potter Scarlet Phoenix means “red mythical bird” and that’s not so nice.

I’d suggest going with one of these: Scarlett Rae

Phoenix Rae or Phoenix Scarlett Rae

phoe⋅nix

   /ˈfinɪks/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [fee-niks]

–noun, genitive Phoe⋅ni⋅cis  /fiˈnaɪsɪs, -ˈni-/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [fee-nahy-sis, -nee-] Show IPA Pronunciation for 2.

1. (sometimes initial capital letter) a mythical bird of great beauty fabled to live 500 or 600 years in the Arabian wilderness, to burn itself on a funeral pyre, and to rise from its ashes in the freshness of youth and live through another cycle of years: often an emblem of immortality or of reborn idealism or hope.
Reply:I wouldn't use it myself as I'm not a big fan of the name Scarlett at all.

But it's your decision and whatever you call her I'm sure she will be lovely and make you so happy. congratulations on your little one on the way!
Reply:Love it.

Scarlett is a beautiful name, Phoenix is breath taking and Rae is a nice, cut unique way to end it

(spontaneous) Cloud-
Reply:I think it is beautiful, and with it having a special meaning for you it makes it extra special.

I really hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well, may God be with you.
Reply:i actually really think that name is really cute and the like the middle name Phoenix very much

i might consider that name for one of my kids when i have kids
Reply:That is a very beautiful name but it beats me why you are asking complete straingers about something so important to yourself. go for it it is uneek to yourselves.
Reply:I LOVE it! I love the myth of the Phoenix, and, though I personally wouldn't use it as a first name, in your case it fits Perfectly!!!!

I Love it!
Reply:It's a beautiful name. Love it(:

But why would you care what others think :-)

Lovely to hear your baby is a good strong fighter, hope the rest of your pregnancy goes as problem free as possible

Is There A Special Name For A Nurse Who Takes Care Of Newborn Babies?
My mom is a nurse and she works with babies but i don't think there is a name for it. the place of the hospital where they do it is called the obstetrics wing, which is usually called OB for short, my mom just calls it OB duty. ^-^

And by the way, my mom worked her but off in highschool so she could get all the right education, you need a lot of science knowledge! Hope that works for you :)

Can mecca be a babies first name?
i dont see why not. It sounds cool and if he has a sister named Medina that would be awesome.
Reply:Nearly every word can be a name.

Mecca is technically a girls name according to baby name websites but if you want to use it for a boy then do.

It's your child after all.

Hope I helped!
Reply:I think the name Mecca is cute for a baby but considering the A at the end I think it would not be the best choice for a boy
Reply:I've never heard of a boy called Mecca but i think it sounds cool

Why do people ask if someone likes this baby name and then get offended?

People here put the most ridiculous names to vote on, and then when you point out that the name means something nasty they get mad. I am worried about the future of children if these people are able to reproduce.

Why do people ask if someone likes this baby name and then get offended?
I think that some parents believe that the name will somehow make the child be liked or popular. By having a unique name, other parents will think that the babies parents are smart or something. I think it is stupid, the parents are only looking for admiration from others. Many mothers probably don't even know who the father is , so they cant name the child after him. It is okay to have children out of wedlock, so parents dont care to name the child after relatives, since family is unimportant to them.
Reply:People are asking if you LIKE something - not really interested and don't want to hear that you don't like it. Of course, you're free to respond (as long as it's within the rules) to anything that's asked. And they are also free to respond to your comment. It's called freedom of speech. And it makes life interesting.
Reply:Most people ask for the fact of just getting an answer. It's not just a baby name it's a life name it's something they don't want to know would make there child embarrassed. and if they like the name they'd want you to agree. that's all :)
Reply:That's a good question. Why do people ask anything and then give you a thumbs down for the truth? You can't help how you feel.
Reply:women who are preggers are emotional and hormonal. and the guys are prolly really worried. forgive them.
Reply:hahahaa gold
Reply:Who cares? They need to know if they are making a terrible choice.

I really like Jake, Levi, Dylan and Rihanna from your list.

I like Kasey and Casey, but hate Kaycee. Ciannen is horrible, and I really like Katalina as Catalina. Levianne is a new one, but it kind of sounds like Levin, which I know a boy whose name is Levin.

Dylan: Too common and so is the rest.

'Irtaza' is a male baby name. It means "some one destined to do great things". How do you spell Irtaza in Urdu

My grandson has been named Irtaza. The other day a friend visited us and wanted to know how Irtaza was spelled in Urdu language. We looked in the urdu dictionary but could not find the word. Would appreciate if someone correctly spelled out Irtaza in Urdu. No guesses please.

'Irtaza' is a male baby name. It means "some one destined to do great things". How do you spell Irtaza in Urdu
I will look up and tell you!!

Is it Irtaza or Irtiqa... Irtiqa means progressing stage by stage. Promotions.

Reply:i have no idea!!!

but, if you really need an answer, maybe you should check a baby-names dictionary. i doubt that that name wont be there.

also try googleing it.

What is THEE best baby name website out there?

I'm looking for a website that has a lot of different names. Our child is going to be half white %26amp; half hispanic (Mexican).. so preferably I would like a website with hispanic names :) thanks a lot!

What is THEE best baby name website out there?
http://www.babynames.com

Here, you can browse a large database of names and read advice columns on naming.

http://www.babynamesworld.com

You can search by origin.

http://www.nymbler.com

Nymbler is an AMAZING baby-naming tool! You type up to six names and Nymber then suggests other names you may like based on sound, origin, type, and popularity. I urge you to check it out!

http://www.babynamewizard.com/voyager

This is my favorite baby naming tool, allowing you to track naming trends over the last hundred years. Do you like Liliana, but fear it's rising? What about Carlos? Plug them in and look at the chart.

http://www.babynamewizard.com/namipedia

This is also a really cool tool. There is lots of information on thousands of names right there at your fingertips. You can either search for a name or browse. It is far more detailed than other naming websites. There is also a NameMapper tool that allows you to see where in the USA a name is most popular.
Reply:check out babynames.com and these others.

Good luck.
Reply:www.babynamesworld.com

It has a lot of names from various origins and you can search by the origins.

www.babynames.com is also good as others are saying :]
Reply:babynames.com you can make an account save your fav names and make a poll out of them with middle and last names and let people vote on them like put it on ypur myspace or something like that

What is the worst baby name you've ever had to pretend to like?

my relatives called their new baby Rocco... it sounds like a nickname or something. its truely awful

What is the worst baby name you've ever had to pretend to like?
Tschnavia. It's a girl's name pronounced Sha-NAY-vee-ah.

At least Rocco is a traditional name that doesn't require continual explanations. Actually, if it flows well with the last name (of Italian or Spanish descent), it could be really cool.

Rocco Schmidt, on the other hand, isn't so great.
Reply:I was once helping out at a church thing, in Philadelphia (A bad part of town) for a program called the Angel Tree. We played with and gave gifts to children whose parents were in Jail. I saw some pretty awful names. There was an Imani (eh-MAH-nee), Nahil (boy, nah-HEEL), Cianni (She was SO cute though! See-ON-ee), Jazzmen (Jasmine), her sister Janaiyah (Jan-EYE-uh), and worst of all: Tarzjanae (I forget the spelling. Tar-jah-NAY). I was doing face painting, and Tarzjanae asked me to write her name in cursive using a face paint crayon on her arm, because I had done it for Imani. She had to spell it for me about 5 times! Every name I heard I would be like, "Wow. That's so UNIQUE!" and then smile at the parent (or aunt or grandmother).
Reply:The worst name i pretended to like was Porschea Lotus my friend's sixteen year old sister baby was named this. She is absolutely adorable with big brown eyes and blonde curly hair, I always think she deserves a better name but hey its her child. When i first heard it i started laughing thinking it was a joke however it wasn't and to her face i pretended i adored it so i wouldn't upset. But i think its dreadful no offensive to anyone who likes it!
Reply:Wilfred

My eldest cousin named her son Wilfred, and when I heard what they called it I was just like WTF? However, I had to be all smiles when she asked me did I like the name, and I said "Yea, it's gorgeous. Very unique" while inside I like "OMG what on earth was my cousin thinking?"

To be honest, I wasn't the only one who didn't like it.

Reply:Madonna has a son named Rocco!

And yes it sounds truly awful XD

But anyways,

Impala (my friend is obsessed with the car)

Patrick (I know its common but I hate it cuz you shorten it to Pat)

Ornya (My uncle is irish)

Dreavyn (Billy martins baby - its the most disgusting name Ive ever heard! It sounds like a goth)
Reply:Someone i know has called his daughter Ariel (they even said after the little mermaid). I think it just shows how young they both were when she was born (they were 16, just). When his mother told me i had to pretend to like it, it was horrible. Even to this day i can't bring myself to say how's Ariel, i always say how is your granddaughter.
Reply:Rocco isn't too bad, it's the name of Madonna's son and Nicky from Westlife named one of his twins it as well.

The name I had to pretend to like was Leland (pronounced Lee - land), at first I thought she might Leyland, but she said she had named him after Dog the Bounty Hunters son. I'd never heard it before although I'm sure a lot of people like it
Reply:Well, it was my husband that did this. We were out to eat and we ran into this lady her knew and she had her newborn daughter. I didn't know this person so he was the one talking to her. He asked what the baby's name was and the lady says "Pierce". This was a little girl! My husband goes "oh that's so pretty!". I was thinking to myself, is he crazy? Then we walk out of the restaurant and he says "wow poor kid that name is awful" haha.
Reply:1) There was a girl in my English class called Destiny, but she shortened it to Dezzy.

2) My dad genuinely did business with a man named Dwane Piper, i think thats pretty bad.

3) There was a girl that got on my school bus named Constance, i thought that was a pretty horrid name. no doubt she shortened it to connie.
Reply:My family has weird names because we are forgein. But someone i knew had a girl, Emerson. I wanted to laugh because the my sisters tv is an EMERSON "Emmie". her siblings have average names (Kaitlyn %26amp; Christian "Katie %26amp; Chris"). It also has the word SON in it and sounds like a last name (i once knew a girls named Carly %26amp; Summer Emerson)
Reply:I worked in a nursery where a little boy was called Rocco and it didnt strike me as odd, i supose they grow into it so i wouldnt worry too much. Ive read that one woman actually called her child @, Not at, the actual symbol. The worst name i have heard personally is probably eznay
Reply:That I had to pretend to like? I don't know that many babies lol.

I guess Selah, like [[See-luh]]

Well and 4 of my cousins names,

Elijah

Isaiah

Henry

Linus

I think the first two are way ugly,

the third is too old fashioned and

the fourth reminds me of either Charlie Brown

or Anus.
Reply:Hm interesting question. I like the first name of my aunt's new baby (It's not born yet, but she has the name picked out) but it doesn't flow well with the middle name. It's Lillian Leigh. It sounds odd, right? I've never met anyone that had a terrible baby name, although celebrities name their children pretty awful things. Rocco is...interesting. Roscoe would have been better, because then the nickname could have been Rocco.
Reply:I believe Madonna has a son named that.

It would not be my first choice, but its their child and they get to name their child anything they want. Just as one day you will have that option and everybody else will have their opinion about what you named your child.
Reply:One guy named his baby "Gay"

I wonder if it was a joke. Whatever it was, i pretended to like it... later i told him i hated it and he cried. i felt so bad. The name ruined the baby's first 2 weeks cuz every1 wuz talkn about it. :( i felt so sorry. They renamed him tho. lol
Reply:Khadijah and once my friend told me she wanted to name her daughter Papaya (not kidding at all) when she got older. she was being serious and i didn't want to hurt her feelings, so i said it was "alright". but dear jesus, that's a terrible name.
Reply:well my family has a thing for naming kids awful names so i have three. the first is Jerikah Willa-Rose the second is Kadence Mckenna, and the third is Legend Hope. that last one isnt even a freakin name its a word like watd u word ur baby? lol so yeah
Reply:Me and my best friend were talking about are favorite names for girls. She said hers was Bradley! For a GIRL!!!!! eww. I think thats so disgusting, I almost gagged. It's really a horrible name for a girl.

I'm like "oh,, that's pretty!" haha NOT!
Reply:Chase. my best friends youngest sons name she has 6 kids. 25, 24, 19, 16, 3 1/2 , 2 and i knew someone who's realy first name is Cotton I felt bad for him he went by his middle name Ray
Reply:I believe Rocco is an Italian name, it's quite common there, which is where I'm from. I truly hate the name Brie, and I have met a few of those. I've had to pretend to like other names such as Ronto, which I just found awful. I ALWAYS have to pretend to like boy names on girls, because I just cannot stand them (for example, Noah on a girl). Celebrities name their children awful things as well. Another name I found quite cheesy was Justin Credible. Those are just a few! Very interesting :]
Reply:My antie called thier baby Brant We call him buster but he is 8 now and my mom and dad said to me As much a they hate it just say it a lovely name even i wanted to shout "ARE YOU CRAZY!" My opion though haha
Reply:Armi-James Lewis

Someone I know just had baby recently and seeing as she likes tattoo's and Miami Ink, she named it after a man on the show.
Reply:Beulah (sounded like Beeeeeww)

Esmeralda (they called her Essie May)

Leonard (called Leo)

Horace (we just called him, LOL)

Reply:A teacher in my school called her ~adorable~ son....Dexter!!

I was like" Oh...How...Um...Nice~ but I couldn't get Dexter's Laboratory's theme song outta my head!
Reply:my friends named her baby (i don't know if it was a joke or not but) iema [I-ma] and their last name just happened to be ho (they are asian) so her name is iema ho.
Reply:there is a woman where i used to work who called her girl ocean and her boy river..well i sddnt really know what2say when she told me
Reply:Blade :o\ I was working in Santa's grotto and a couple came in with a son called Blade...And my best friend wants to call her daughter Dove or Pearl.
Reply:Queenie.
Reply:Hesther - she is only 3 but it sounds like a 90 year old's name (sorry any other Hesthers out there!)
Reply:Rocco is a cool Italian name! It's popular too, lol.

Maybe you just aren't familiar with the name.

Heaven Lee is the oddest name I've known personally.

Reply:what kind of names are you into? do you like real feminine names or very masculine, or just kind of average? theres all kinds of sites on line that you can look at names from your heritage and stuff like that, i think its neat, just google something about baby names and heritage. as far as the sickness, ginger works pretty good. ginger ale (drink it flat), and ginger snaps helped me. you can also get these "preggie pop drops" at any maternity store or babies-r-us. they help too, they dont take it away but they do ease it. they are just little hard candies. good luck to you and God bless
Reply:well for starters i would have to say picking a babies name is a very special time for parents and should be done by the parents but if you really need help then i would suggest using a family members name or middle name that has helped you out a lot in the past. Not only will you get a name but you will make that person feel appreciated and happy :). It is a great feeling to know that you've had such an impact on someone.

Ohh and about the food...... jello, soup, fruits. Anything light and easy to digest and makesure to stay away from dairy products because they will make you feel worse.
Reply:I love your name and good luck with your pregnancy. : )

I like Addison, Hunter and Savannah for girls and I like Ashton, Chase and Troy for boys!
