Does anybody think that Jonathan could be a baby name for a girl?

A was just wondering if anyone thought that Jonathan could be a girls name?

Does anybody think that Jonathan could be a baby name for a girl?
Sure, why not? If that bozo Gwyneth Paltrow named her daughter after a fruit, Apple, then why not Johnathan for a girl? In my line of work, I've run across men named Isabel and women named Jose. Just yesterday, I ran across a man named Dork! Yes, Dork! Unbelievable! I just helped a lady named Bobby. Go figure. Celebrities tend to crucify their kids for no good reason, Moon Unit? Ziggy? Whatever. So I say yes to Johnathan for a girl's name!
Reply:No it is a classic male name. Johanna?
Reply:my bf wanted to know the baby after him and we have this gut feeling its a grl so i went online and found the female version of his name i would do that then punish your child with her daddy's name
Reply:No. Jonathan is definitely a boys name. Jonathina is better for a girl. I think that's really pretty. :-)
Reply:Nope, but how about Jonna or Joanna?
Reply:no,because when i hear that name i instantly think boy, you don't want people to call her John for short.
Reply:sorry but, nnnnnnnnnooooooooo! I think jolie - (pronounced

jholie) or joan would be nice - best of luck, hope i helped!
Reply:Nope
Reply:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Reply:NO!

what about one of these unisex names:

Ryan

Devin

Noah

Wesley

Jordan

Mychael

Cameron

Kaden

Bailey

=)
Reply:No, but it's your decision.
Reply:hell no-only for boys
Reply:just name her olivia or ruby why would you name your little girl a boys name
Reply:Nope, don't like Jonathan for a girl. I do like Olivia
Reply:Anything could be but i don't really like the name really for a boy and really not for a girl either but it is your choice i guess i would still say no though!
Reply:no, not johathan, but maybe jonnie...Jerri, Geri.
Reply:nope, but I have heard Johnatha for girls.
Reply:I am ALL about real boy names for girls but I don't think I like Jonathan for a girl at all. SOrry!
Reply:Are you serious? This is taking the boys-names-on-girls trend too far. Jonathan is such a masculine name, it doesn't sound remotely feminine. Would you name your son Mary or Elizabeth? No, how ridiculous. Jonathan on a girl is just as laughable.

Olivia and Ruby are both beautiful choices.
Reply:no way hose
Reply:Technically, it could be. I don't think it should be. I'm pretty old-fashioned, though. I think girls should have girls' names, and boys should have boys' names.

ETA: I like both Olivia and Ruby, but Olivia is top ten. I think Ruby Olivia sounds really nice. Ruby is a sweet, classic, kind of rocker sort of name. (Think Ruby Tuesday by the Rolling Stones, Ruby Soho by Rancid, and Ruby by the Kaiser Chiefs.) That one gets my vote!
Reply:That would be convenient if she going to be a transsexual.
Reply:No, sorry!
Reply:NO.

Absolutely not.

It is a completely masculine name.
Reply:i'm open minded i like the idea of that its really edgy and original she might not lke it and be mad taht her mom named her that but if she grows to be a confident young woman she would learn to love it but if u do name her that change the spelling like gonnathen or joneathen
Reply:Nope. It's all boy.
Reply:Jona, not Jonathan
Reply:I hope not... That's my son's name!
