How does the girl baby name Nevaeh "heaven" spelled backwards sound?

It sounds stupid. One of the stupidest names ever.

I've heard it pronounced:

Nee-vay-uh

and

nuh-nay-uh

Either way, stupid name. if you want Heaven in the baby's name, use "Heaven" as a middle name. Actually, now that I think about it, that might be kinda cute....

Ashley Heaven

Jessica Heaven

Jennifer Heaven

It could work!

How does the girl baby name Nevaeh "heaven" spelled backwards sound?
stupid

I know several little girls with this name

and it means the opposite of heaven first off

and secondly more than half the worlds population doesn't know how to say this name or pronounce it right because it was made up a couple years ago

and some people just don't get it

sorry to be so blunt

the people I know who named their girl this regreted it once they realized what it meant and how much a problem some seem to have to pronounce it and spell it

because you can't just say "it is spelled Heaven backwords" you actually have to spell it out all the time to everyone
Reply:I have a grand daughter with that name, and I cant stand it. I begged them not to name her that. It is a made up name that phonically doesnt make any sense.

Heaven spelled backwards kind of reminds me of when we were kids and they told us if we played some records backwards you could hear the devil...weird.
Reply:It is a beautiful name but the fact that it is heaven spelled backwards seems kinda awful..Because the opposite of Heaven is Hell and I really don't think you want people to think that you think of your child as hell
Reply:There is no standard pronunciation. You can say nah-VEY-ah or nah-VEY, or NEY-vey-ah or ney-VEH.

Here's an article that has more information about the name:

Reply:Oh my god, I absolutely hate that name. I'm sorry, but it's horrible. I mean, heaven backwards, that's just so tacky! Plus, if it was heaven spelled backwards, wouldn't that really mean the... other place?
Reply:I actually have a friend whose daughters' names are Heaven and Reign. I think they are very creative but I am not fond of Nevaeh. Other non traditional options are Glory, Faith, Hope and Joy.
Reply:I have heard it often being made fun of in the context of comparing it with Nivea lotion. Personally I think it is a tacky name.
Reply:Awful! However the mother decides it should be pronounced. I've heard "Neh-vay-eh" and "nee-va-eh"

I think it's just tacky
Reply:Quite frankly, it sounds tacky. Spelling a word backwards doesn't sound cute.

Besides, it's common.
Reply:"Nuh-Vay-uh"

i dont think it's that bad, as long as you aren't always talking about how its heaven spelled backwords.
Reply:I think it's pretty. If you're asking how it's pronounced it is Nuh-vay-uh.
Reply:Just discovered this annoying little trend did ya? It's good as a middle name but to chav as a first name for me.
Reply:Like she would have to spell it to everyone, every time. Don't burden her with that.
Reply:Low-rent, and overly trendy.
Reply:NO. It is backwards for heaven which is like naming your baby hell.
Reply:its so tacky and just doesnt sound nice at all

and like someone said isnt heaven backwards hell?
Reply:awful.
Reply:I don't like that name, and I certainly wouldn't use it. Sorry!
Reply:Its unique. Its pretty I like it....
Reply:I think it's really cute, and I love how you took heaven and spelled it backwards!
