My husband loves the name Ellie but I think I like Elia but how would you pronounce it Eli-uh or Ellie-uh? (Hope that makes sense) How would you spell Ellie-uh?????

Better spell it Ellia. If you spell it Elia it will be assumed that it rhymes with Delia and Celia.
Reply:Spell it how you'd like, I'd say, it doesn't have to look like it's said as it's spelled. There's ways to spell names differently yet said the same. Aaron to Erin for example. You could easily spell it Elia, Ellia, Elliah, Eliah, ect and pronounce it to your liking I'd say. If you want it to sound like Eli-uh you might want to try something like Elijah.
