How many times did you change your mind before settling on a baby name?

I change it every week

How many times did you change your mind before settling on a baby name?
We had two names picked out for our twin girls, Mariana and Mayra Irann... but everybody kept calling the first Ariana (because that's her mom's name) before she was born... So, we just took out the M right before we filled out the birth certificates.
Reply:none with my 2 sons but once with my daughter. she was going to be jaime lyn and when i became seven months i i didnt like the name anymore! we named her dana marie!!
Reply:I went through a lot of names before I decided that I liked the one I picked first the best. Now she's 33 and I still like her name. No regrets.
Reply:My sister wasn't named for like a month or something silly like that!
Reply:Well we had the names picked out with the first pregnancy when I lost that baby so when we got pregnant again we kept the same names. But before we picked them out, we had 4 choices and narrowed them down by telling people what they were and seeing their reactions. It took about 4 months of that. We decided on Hannah or Kaleb, and when we found out it was a girl, Hannah, and she looks like a Hannah now that she is here.
Reply:thought it was a boy - so major change that day :)
Reply:Oh I think 3 or 4 But they were never drasticly different. From Maddison to Mallory to Madeleine. We stuck with Madeleine.
Reply:not at all once i decided- tossed many different names for a while though
Reply:like 3 times.

we got so many names that we were undecided.

sometimes the names i liked my hubby didnt.

we were able to arrive at one at the end.

Good -luck!
Reply:I think it was alot. I might to the same thing.
Reply:never changed our minds..
Reply:i had two names in mind and i had to chage my mind at least twice before i could decide very frustrating but now i`ve got a lovely daughter called Mollie.

Reply:I don't have any children yet, but my brother has an interesting story about his name.

All along they had Joshua picked out for him, but once he arrived they just didn't feel good about the name any more. They had used it too much and discovered that it was number one on the list that year. So, while waiting to get out of the hospital they agreed on the name Matthew. Turns out, this became the most popular name and remained on the list for the next few years as he grew up!
Reply:A FEW TIMES BUT DECIDED TO NAME HIM AFTER ME
Reply:We have 2 boys and 2 girls :0)

Boy names: we knew within a minute of discussion what the boys names would be, as we both liked conventional names with family meanings.

Girl names: took forever to decide, as I (the mom) liked unusual names and he (the dad) liked names like Anne or Jane. Finally settled on good names for the girls before the babies were born; took monthes of going back and forth.

All four kids seem to like their names, so I guess we did OK.
Reply:I know it took my uncle and aunt two weeks before they settled on a name.
Reply:I think due to the hormones I changed my mind a hundred times, but it was always between the same few names. Although when my daughter was born we were going to name her Charlotte, but my husband suddenly decided he didn't want to because it rhymes with Harlot!! We used it as a middle name instead.
