What is you're babies name?

or if you have other kids their names and short reason for why you like the name!

What is you're babies name?
My baby's name is Nephele, and I chose it because I always liked the way it sounded. It may sound strange in English, but we live in Greece and it's not really uncommon here. It means cloud, or fairy, or spirit... kind of all three at once.

There 's a story about it that I found so sweet.

There was a girl named Nephele who was so pretty, the angels fell in love with her. Zeus got mad at the angels for misbehaving, so he turned her into a cloud. (That's why clouds in greek are called nepheles.) And ever since, the angels play on the cloud...

So that's why I like the name!

Lol! I never thought I could get a thumb down for liking a certain name.

I did NOT get to choose any of their names. I did have a say in both girls' middle names, but their middle names are both 2nd choices for me.

My husband is VERY particular with names. He grew up with Gerard Dustin and while he isn't so self-effacing to hate his own name, it has been a source of embarassment that his whole family calls him "Dusty." If you saw him, you'd agree,...he is NOT a "Dusty." But, alas, he was born in 71 and his mom was one of those wannabe hippies.

And so, because he got picked on and teased for being "dusty" his whole academic career (he switched to Gerry in the USMC), he has taken great care to name our children very straight-forward names that they can grow old with.
