What do you think about the baby name Cleopatra?

There is a girl in my school that I know, her name is Cleopatra. She is mexican. I think it is a pretty name but I would never ever name my child that. What do you think?

Not my favorite, don't get me wrong, it's a great name, but it's like naming your daughter Madonna, Cher, Pocohantus or Cinderella...they just remind you of one person.

Reply:Cleopatra was supposed to be a beautiful woman and who was also very black with a beautiful nose. That is what history says. It could be correct or can be an exaggeration as it always happens. Also beauty is a relative as well as a personal opinion. In the present world I do not believe a white man or woman will accept a black woman as beautiful. For them a white man/ woman is always beautiful.





Chinese will be beautiful to Chinese and same with blacks, browns etc.





Same with names. Why bother about so much about names. It is just an identity.
Reply:EWw please people dont ever do that to your child. I no somebody by the name of CLEOPATRA and she hates her name. She hates her dad for coming up with that name..lol..she has us call her Lizzie for Elizabeth her middle name.

and we call her Cleo for short.

Reply:I dont really like it, if her parents were having a boy and wanted an egyptian name they could have named him Cairo the capital of Egypt. Pronounced C-eye-row

Reply:cleopatra is okay for an egyptian queen, but not in today's world. I hate the name Cleo. Knew someone with that name that had the ugliest face I have ever seen/
